Well it seems nobody trod on it in the last 3 years, but I do have one
written in Dart if that helps :-).
One rather nice property of the current one is that it does not change
newlines which is nice when you get stack traces. Also it's written in
Python which we need anyway for various stuff so it doesn't introduce new
dependencies. Other than that it's pretty bad.
