Hmm, this regexp has no negated character classes, so I'm not sure it's the
same as #2254, but I don't know.
Good point about the redundant stars. The regexp was taken from
http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/other/8-regular-expressions-you-should-know/
-- and at second glance, a lot of the comments agree that half these
regexps are bad.
