New issue 2775 by [email protected]: v8 build fails on linux

Raised the same issue , but closed by saying the GNU make is older than
3.81.
But the GNU make version i am using is 3.81.
running the following command gave the following output in my linux box:
[root@camdev-7-lnx v8]# rpm -qi make
Name : make Relocations: /usr
Version : 3.81 Vendor: Red Hat, Inc.
Release : 3.el5 Build Date: Fri Mar 28 18:07:42
2008
Install Date: Wed Jul 10 15:57:06 2013 Build Host:
hs20-bc2-2.build.redhat.com.
Please help.
Please help as i couldn't build the V8.
Running the make command produced the following error output:
