Summary: Need to set both CXX and LINK when using a custom toolchain
Status: WorkingAsIntended
Comment #6 on issue 3072 by [email protected]: Need to set both CXX
and LINK when using a custom toolchain

@5: We'd happily accept patches that increase building convenience. FWIW,
on OSX, "make ia32.release" works just fine for me. For Windows, a
(Python?) wrapper script that automates what Make does on Unix (invoke GYP,
then the compiler, and optionally tests) would be a huge improvement. It
keeps falling off the end of my to-do list, though.
As for CXX vs. LINK, this is working as intended.
