create a Regex by
re=/^[a-zA-Z0-9_.][a-zA-Z0-9_.-]{0,30}[a-zA-Z0-9_.$-]?$/g
Test these values
re.test('a') -> true
re.test('_a') -> true
re.test('__a') -> true
re.test('___a') -> false
The last should return true, I've tried safari and firefox, both are right,
however, google chrome and node.js both returns false.
