Comment #1 on issue 3328 by [email protected]: Object.observe memory leak
http://code.google.com/p/v8/issues/detail?id=3328

Hmmm... I also see this growing memory in the Canary timeline:

<script>
var listener = function() {};

function test() {
  for (var i = 0; i < 1000; ++i) {
    var o = {};
    Object.observe(o, listener);
    Object.unobserve(o, listener);
  }

  setTimeout(test, 10);
};

test();
</script>

I can't tell if devtools is messing with me. Note that

<script>
var listener = function() {};

var wm = new WeakMap;

function test() {
  for (var i = 0; i < 1000; ++i) {
    var o = {};
    wm.set(o, listener);
    wm.set(o, undefined);
//    Object.observe(o, listener);
//    Object.unobserve(o, listener);
  }

  setTimeout(test, 10);
};

test();
</script>

Seems to have similar behavior.
