That's just what toLocaleString() does.
var number = 5000000;
number.toString()
"5000000"
number.toLocaleString("en")
"5,000,000"
number.toLocaleString("ar")
"٥٬٠٠٠٬٠٠٠"
number.toLocaleString("de")
"5.000.000"
