Oh, STL will with certainty have better performance.  My thought was,
that for at least a small script, a thrown-together Javascript table
would have a smaller memory footprint than the penalty associated with
including STL at all in your program.

I'm recalling now that Google had released a template library for hash
tables a few years back with an ultra-low memory footprint.  I guess
I'll check that out.
