Sorry about not tagging the latest version in the 1.0.x series earlier; I've just done so a few minutes ago. We'll continue to use tags for major releases, and if you want a stable version of V8 that doesn't change every week, pulling V8 from one of the tags is recommendable. If you want to be kept more updated, an alternative is to pull V8 from trunk, which is a versioned V8 copy updated from the bleeding_edge branch about once a week, but only when the HEAD of bleeding_edge is found to be stable and fast enough. Every now and then you'll also experience selected bug fixes being pushed to trunk forming V8 versions like 1.0.3.x (the version numbers for regular pushes from bleeding_edge doesn't contain the fourth part at all).
