Hi,
It has been quite a long time since I gave news of the v8 port, but
the project was not sleeping. I have been working with Paul Lind from
MIPS, and I'm happy to say we crossed a milestone today:
.-(~/Projects/v8/ra-dev)---------------------------------
(ra...@achille)-
`--> scons simulator=mips sample=shell mode=debug -j3;
scons: Reading SConscript files ...
scons: done reading SConscript files.
scons: Building targets ...
scons: `sample' is up to date.
scons: done building targets.
.-(~/Projects/v8/ra-dev)---------------------------------
(ra...@achille)-
`--> ./shell_g
V8 version 2.1.9 (candidate)
> print("Hello, World!");
Hello, World!
We are now able to compile natives (and execute them) and create a
context with a template for the global object.
This may not seem a lot, but it is a *huge* step from the current MIPS
code in Google repository.
We will soon start committing again to Google. (taking care to do
small commits ;-) I don't want to scare reviewers!)
