Firstly, as I said before, V8 does not know how to handle "a page that contains JavaScript". It only understands pure ECMAScript. (I.e. only *.js files, but no "window", no "document", no "<html><head>..." etc.)
Secondly, running V8 in a debugger is not going to be helpful for debugging JavaScript (only for debugging V8 itself). Give Chrome DevTools a try, they are built for this purpose!
