Greetings, list, and many thanks to those who brought it back to life!

I participated pretty heavily early this year, and as a direct result of all
you folks help and advice, went from a know-nothing to a proud owner of a
'75 argosy 26 in a matter of weeks, which I bought with the intent of
converting to a home office. I've been working out of it as a freelance
writer all day every day for six months or so now, and it has been a perfect
setup and the envy of all my cubical-bound ex-collegues (I quit a 13 year
corporate career to do this) who love to stop over for lunch, gaze out my
wraparound windows, and dream. The "airstream office" seems to be a
metaphor, for them and for me, of the individualism and freedom of
self-employment.

Well. Enough philosophy. I've made and continue to make very gradual repairs
and modifications, all with great care that they are completely reversable,
saving all parts, etc. so that I can take the thing on the road as an
original someday should I want to. And I'm sure I will. I've learned a few
things that I would like to share, and have a few more questions to ask of
all you experts, whom I want to thank most warmly. I'll do so in separate
messages, each with a heading appropriate to the topic, as time permits.

Again, thank you all for all the help you've offered along the way.
