Greetings, I just discovered this list over the weekend while browsing the VAC website and am impressed with all the enthusiastic "chatter" regarding classic Airstreams and classic cars, both of which I love. I am slowly returning a decent old '66 Safari to useful service. So far, I don't need many parts and have been able to locate several small parts either at the Airstream factory store at Jackson Center or from Inland RV in Corona, CA. However, both of my original equipment taillight lenses are cracked, broken, and missing pieces from the outer edge and will have to be replaced. The factory installed taillights on my trailer are round, approximately 6 1/2" in diameter. Does anyone have a pair or know of a source? Has anyone found a solution to the damaged lenses without replacing the entire taillight assemblies? Has anyone discovered a currently available taillight assembly that looks similar and can be installed without altering the rear sheet metal of my vintage Airstream? I'm looking forward to reading the interesting experiences of vintage Airstream enthusiasts.
