The reports of poor quality on the new Bambi 16 are
indeed disappointing to those of us looking for a
small, very high quality Airstream unit. The use of
particle board components and poor fit simply should
not be associated with Airstream. There is a huge
market for such a product, and many were hoping that
the Bambi 16 would be the answer. Perhaps the rumored
Inside Design version will correct those problems,
although the report of particle board use in the
bottom flooring is of great concern. The lack of an
Airstream alternative has enabled units like the
Casita and Scamp to establish themselves as leaders in
that market segment.
