another tip - garnered from an old write up by (I think) Bud Cooper suggests that you drill small holes, 1/4 apart in a grid fashion and 3/4 of the thickness of the floor into the rotted section, and extending into the solid section in order to extend the wicking through the whole wood piece to be repaired and to anchor the repair to solid wood - in a sense, making your own plywood version of the OSB being mentioned. Then spread the watery resin all around and let it harden - the result is expected to be tougher than the original.
