I seem to have hit the jackpot recently when rediscovering some original paperwork that came with my Airstream (including a Thurm Forced-air heater recall!) Airstream recommends glass wax after polishing to maintain the finish (this was in 1959) I think I'll give that a shot when I've finished polishing.
