Bob and All .....

Shortly before my power supply crapped out on my new HP computer, I had
discovered a battery place in Canada that was running a sale on gel type
batteries. New, ready to go size 27 at $69 plus shipping. I don't remember
the name of the battery as I'm not familiar with gel battery names. And
worse yet, I can't remember the name of the company selling them. I had
just bookmarked the site when the power supply went out. Instead of
replacing the power supply, CompUSA, where I bought it, sent my entire CPU
back to HP along with the hard drive with several hundreds dollars worth
of software, all my files, bookmarks, etc. and wanted me to accept a new
in the box CPU for my old one. That won't do obviously. CompUSA is
"attempting" to see if they can get my hard drive back from HP.

I learned two things from this experience: (1) Back up daily and (2) I
will never buy anything else from CompUSA. Ever. They misrepresented every
aspect of this screw up and lied repeatedly. Corporate management will be
hearing from me.
