IMHO, I doubt that will work out. "High gear ratio" and "low gear ratio"
are natural terms, and, so long as the word "ratio" is included, they -*do*
stick to the numbers. Besides, I've had some experience with trying to get
people to change the way they talk, and it doesn't work.
