Radial sidewalls are more flexible so absorb bumps better but also allow more side sway than bias ply tires. This is true of tractor radials also making it more difficult to cultivate with precision. That's why bias ply tires make the trailer be more stable, while radial tires let it sway side to side more, at the same time riding smoother and rolling with far less friction. Gerald J.
