Oh, wow .....a remark like that can't be left unanswered! Trouble is, I
thought of more than one smart-alec remark in response to your statement.
So, like Letterman, I'll give you the "Top Ten Responses to Your Remark"
10. Nope. The kid would make ME sleep on the floor ...and I don't like
that.
9. Sleep in the tub? That would be a water bed , eh?
8. Eight? No! ....seven is our lucky number.
7. I don't think we're gonna go out and adopt another kid just so we can
fill up the Airstream!
6. No . In the morning we'd look like a bunch of clowns getting out of a
little bitty car at the circus!
5. Dad needs the floor space clear so he can sneak in late at night.
4. The sound of the kid screaming when we step on him in the middle of the
night just might wake somebody up. Not good ...
3. Before we do that, we are going to fill up the tub with ice and put a keg
of beer in there.
2. My wife and I need to floor space so we can dance for joy when they
finally all go to sleep!
*** And the number one response to your remark is:
1. What? How could the wife and I use our hot tub if there's a kid sleeping
in it?
But seriously, I HAVE thought about how to get all seven sleeping in the
trailer. There's just not enough room in there to do that. We really should
have a bigger trailer ....but the trailer will last us a lifetime. In the
blink of an eye, the kids will all be grown up. We'll just need room for the
occasional grand child!
