If the bathroom is the LH side (street-side)  just aft of the stove,
then it could be original.  If the fixtures are period early fifties
(lots'a chrome and porcelain), then that would be a good sign.  The
original toilet would a have gone straight to an exterior sewer fitting
(no tank).
