Hi Don,
I have one of those put on by an Airstream dealer in Oklahoma City. The guy
does quality work. I ran outside to look at mine and here is how it is
attached.
The unit is held to the trailer by those stainless steel screws and not
rivets.
The black straps are held to the trailer with rivets and the little bracket
is attached to the bottom and inside of the frame with rivets.
Mine has been on for a year with no problems. I love it.
