Funny you mentioned the radiator thing (well,
funny to me - a girl who's never owned a truck
and hauled an Airstream before)... the '82
Foe-Fitty-Foe owner noted that it has a huge
cooling system & radiator that was originally
designed for the diesel (I think he means it's
MORE than adequate for the 454?) and how nice
that would be for me hauling my long A/S all over
the place (no pun intended). This Chevy is all
set up for hauling with "heavy duty everything"
right down to huge heavy duty tires. He said the
truck works for him on a regular basis, hauling
hay, trailers, etc. Not sure that's so good to
tell a buyer... It wasn't the MINT gem I thought
it was *inside* and that "new looking" paint
turned out to BE new. But it drove like a charm
and a race-car (DANG! it got up and WENT when I
barely hit the gas) and it's better than most of
the early 90's I saw today.

I'm holding off through the week and
participating in a truck-shopathon locally
tomorrow to make sure I'm not jumping the gun on
the '82. It just dawned on me I live in Truck
Central. In the mean-time Wendy is teasing me
that my Ambassador has been re-called. You guys
better give her heck for nearly giving me a
heart-attack. That was just plain mean and she's
gonna get it.
