I have no knowledge of the window weatherstripping you inquired about.

Here in West Texas probably a majority of cars and trucks have had
aftermarket window tint film applied to windows.  I have used it for years.
It reduces heat and glare and the better quality films will last for many
years.  Some of the cheaper stuff turns purple or loses its adhesion after a
few years.
