At some point you should take a look at some folding tandems. Bike
Friday's is called "Tuesday". I have not been reading the bike
magazines, but probably someone is making a full size tandem w/the
couplers in the frame. Folding any bike makes it easier to handle. The
BF Tuesday actually fits into two standard Samsonite cases.
