I believe you are correct, sir. I had a '60's 'Cardinal' trailer with newer
wheels/tires on it...I had to drop the axle to remove the tires.
Also, the 'camber' of the axle,     \\ --- //         requires a bit more
space in the wheel well.

Still, if anyone has a copy of Bud Cooper's drawings, perhaps there's an
indication of  the hub-to-hub length of the axle.

BTW, I've called Henschen about four or five times over the last month, and
can't seem to get anyone there to return my calls. Does anyone have a secret
way of contacting them?
