I haven't made mine work yet, but I'd be awfully tempted to buy a different design burner with a bend in the bunsen tube so rust flakes didn't fall over the orifice. I'd go to a piezo electric igniter instead of the flint and steel. The steel has rusted, the flints are harder to find and the piezo igniter is readily available as a replacement part for grills.
