Ah, its so HARD to invent a new wheel these days!!!
I thought all the strips I'd seen were incandescent lamps, but I've not
done a lot of recent research into the topic. Just didn't find LEDs in
use in camping catalogs other than for the occasional flashlight. I'm
wanting to take advantage of the latest in LED technology to get more
light and electrical efficiency. And that latest technology is a moving
target. I really want to have the same light level as the old
inefficient incandescent lamps give. Saving on battery power by
drastically lowering the light level I don't consider appropriate. It is
effective at energy saving but so does turning out the lights and
working entirely by feel. However finding the carving knife in the
drawer by feel can lead to dirtying the rest of the drawer contents with
fresh blood. MY BLOOD!
