I consider this fairly common.  My trailer brakes on my current trailer as
well as the Airstream I had before did that.  I've asked others and it
seems the brakes are much more touchy in the morning for some reason.  What
I do is back off the controller.  It seems that the controller always needs
adjustment here and there.
