No sweat Brian.  Fluros are very 70's!  They even go well in Austin Powers flicks.  The key is getting the bulb with the color temperature that pleases you  and yours.

Coverage for a dual fluro fixture is far better and more efficient than the old 3 way DC lights installed in the vintage coaches.  But then you don't get the complete spectrum of light that you get with the incandescents.  The big question is . . . can you stand the light?
