I bought a set of the highly recommended McKesh towing mirrors to go on my F-150 pickup before starting back to Atlanta from Houston on Saturday with my '68 Tradewind. There has to be a trick to mounting those mirrors so the nylon strap that attaches to the bottom of the truck door does not vibrate and make a very annoying and distracting sound. I tightened up the ratchet thinking that if I got the strap tight it wouldn't make that droning noise. It was very tight but it still drummed and hummed and got on my nerves. What's the secret to mounting them so they are quiet?
