In some, the drain hose travels in a compartment between the back bumper
and the rear of the trailer. The fittings on a vintage Airstream are
different than the commonly used fittings so at least an adapter is
required.
If you use the drain hose for a hookup, its important to leave the dump
valve closed, and dump when needed. If you leave the dump valve open,
much material won't hit the drain and will dry out in the black water
tank leading to a painful cleaning. The normal mix of solid and liquid
that passes through the toilet will keep the lumps from drying.
