The were 12" square tiles of patterned brown linoleum :>) Replacement of the tiles with 12" newer tiles if you want the same look & feel or true linoleum sheet if you want an upgraded classy look. Or you can do a high grade of level loop industrial carpet. We installed some with a built-in high traffic pad that hides camping dirt well. In '68 there was still some minor amount of asbestos in the old tiles, so don't pulverize the old tiles & wear a particulate respirator.
