Andrea,   The WBCCI members are supposed to remove their numbers from their trailers before they sell them. As you can tell, not very many do so.   The number is just a member number and no information is tracked as far as I know.   The membership roster (with numbers) is printed yearly so any member can introduce him/herself to another.
