Hi Gang,

I just wanted to share my enthusiasm for restoration! Here are some pics
of our '66 Trade Wind just before heading out to International last Summer.

This trailer came to us in the Winter of '99 on a flatbed truck. One of
the wheels was missing. It was also missing vent caps and a couple of
windows. It had holes in the floor, evidence of rodents everywhere and a
sticky gooey mess on the ceiling and roof lockers from 25 years worth of
Nicotine. I had to cut off the bottom 1" of all the cabinets due to
delaminating and replace the wood on all the leading edges of the plywood
bulkhead panels. One third of the plywood deck had to be cut out and
replaced. All the plumbing and the electrical was replaced as well as the
refrigerator and the water heater and after all that we are still looking
for more Airstreams to rescue.

We attended our first rally last year at the WDCU Cherry Blossom Rally
which was on the first weekend in April 2000. We been having a great time
ever since. So if you are not a member of the WBCCI and the VAC, my wife
Linda and I are here to assist you in the membership process.
Just send us an email.
