I used a product called Aircraft Remover, which strips finish and primer
from metal surfaces, on aluminum heater door and frig. exterior exhaust
vents that came painted. Did a very nice clean job on the aluminum. Got
it at the local Ace Hardware and suspect it can be found at most home
srvoce outlets. It is non-flammable and water rinsable.
