I have always used air shocks on the rear of my tow vechiles. hook up yhe 
trailer and air the shocks up until the vechile is level.
Do not lighten the front of the trailer as you need the toungh weight. 
Notheng is more miserable to tow than a trailer that is light on the toungh.
