Hi Richard,
My 28 foot 1959 Ambassador has a gross weight of
3900 lbs, so 3500 sounds about right, assuming
your Overlander is a few feet smaller. They were
still extra light, even for an Airstream, in the
late 50's.
If you call or E-mail customer service at
Airstream (Thor Inc.) and tell them exactly what
you've got they'll give you the original factory
gross weight. I've talked with a guy there
several times (think his name is Ron) and he has
always been super friendly and helpful.
