Change the trailer plug. There's never going to be agreement on the old connections and adding a connector in a circuit that tends to be disrupted by corrosion means reliability can only be worse. And in the process, its easy to install a new plug and solve some of the corrosion instantly. The connection diagram for my '68 manual shows the same wire colors by function but different pin connections at the plug. Gerald J.
