I found the main problem I had with meeting local codes was the lack of a
gray water tank and exterior plumbing to carry the water to the sewer
connection. My '60 originally only had hose attachments to drain the black
water tank. The gray water simply drained overboard. I added new exterior
plumbing to everything went into the sewer drain and never had a problem
with getting into parks. I must say though that I didn't try in California
and didn't stay more than a week at any spot.

I came across this issue while researching
long-term parks in the Bay Area... one in Marin
(a generally ritzier area) said trailers had to
be no older than 15 years, but that made
exceptions on a case-by-case basis (my thought is
they wanted to make sure the trailer was
good-looking).

They didn't mention code, but perhaps that would
be one thing they would take a look at.

I wonder exactly what part of your trailer wasn't
up to par... if it was, like wiring and fire
safety, or asthetics?
