Same reason they stopped making the original
bulletproof lady's nylon stockings. When stuff
lasts forever the manufacturers don't make any
money. I visited Henry Ford's home (now a museum)
in Florida a few years back and most of the
working lightbulbs in that house are the original
ones from when he lived there.
