Hi Bob: If you are ever in Victoria BC go by the parliment Blcg at
night....it is outlines in filament light bulbs most of which have been there
since 1928....I have a couple of old filament bulbs that came out of out of
house in Illinois....Electrical inspector when we rewired the house wanted
one..said "they should still make these they last forever" Pearl in Hemet
I wonder why Thomas Edison built bulbs to last. Surely he would have bolted at the notion of programmed obsolesence. And he would turn over in his grave if he heard that those of us who want to conserve our batteries by using lower wattage bulbs would have to pay more for those bulbs than the high wattage bulbs. Note: Please don't come back with supply and demand. GE and Sylvania are wealthy enough to do their part to help us conserve.
Solar Panels can power a small environment like a vintage Airstream if the utilities are efficient and diverse in their power sources.
