That "residue is small particle4s of the oxidized aluminum combined with the grit and chemistry of Rolite, I assuem your using AP-300.  The real test is getting that stuff using your big buffer (to the extent possible) and corners with a polishing cloth.  Use a good cloth.

I need something that can be readily purchased at a Lowe's Hardware store or a grocery store -- don't have many other options in my small town.
