Hello...

I just joined the list so I want to introduce myself. My name is Tim and I
live in Northern California, with my wife and 11 year old son, and baby on
the way.

We have a '98 Ford Expedition with a 4.6L engine and factory tow package.
Wheel base is 119".

We want an airstream.

We looked at one last night, a '68 Globe Trotter that is 20' long. It was
in real nice condition. It seemed a little small. However, I think that is
probably all I can safely tow.

Anyway, while we were thinking it over that night, someone else bought it
:-(

So, my question is, given that my tow limit is 6000lbs, what model
airstreams can I safely tow? How many feet should I be looking at? 20',
22', 25'?

Where on the net, or otherwise, can I find the weights of the older
airstreams?

Now, that I lost this one, is there a good place to look?

BTW - I am a totally new at this. Never towed. And only tent camped once.
Which is kinda why I want an older airstream. If I find I don't use it
after a couple of years, I can sell it and won't loose my shirt.

Thanks

-Tim
