I believe with the Exedition, you can pull any length you want safely,
within the 6000# limit, with standard antisway. I pull a 26' Overlander
with Reese equilizer hitch, no antisway, and have NO sway problems.
That is probably about the limit for weight for you.
The only place you will have trouble is in the mountains, with the
smallish motor you have. Safety and sway wise, you are in great shape
with that tow vehicle. I am sure the 6000# limit is there because of
the motor. I'll bet if your vehicle was equipped exactly the same, with
a big motor, you would have a larger tow rating.
