The cause of excessive heat around the refer case is the result of a lack of vertical
airflow.
It's like a fireplace and a chimney - the taller the chimney, the better the air
movement up the chimney. In your Caravel, there should be a screen in the floor
(intake) and the roof vent (exhaust). The lower the intake and the higher the exhaust
the better the velocity of the air movement and the cooler behind the cabinet will be.
