I agree that firefox should not be an issue. The only other app I installed was wireshark basically to try and debug this issue. On the second vagrant box, where I had the same issue, the issue came up after I installed spacewalk which has several components, including firefox. . I am wondering if it is something to with my host and not vagrant. I tried reinstalling vagrant. Next step would be clean everything and re-install components. Hopefully, I don't have to backtrack that much. Thanks for your efforts to try and simulate this.
