I did have someone contact me on twitter to suggest they use `init.d` for starting up their services on Ubuntu. I think `init.d` is started from the main OS inittab script but I've not had time to check if the services defined in init.d are the same as the services defined inside systemd? If they are the same then at least I wouldn't have to figure out how to rewrite the service file into Upstart and hopefully I can just copy my services file into init.d instead
