If you go to atlas.hashicorp.com you can filter down the list of boxes to 
those supported by VMware. You can also build your own box via Packer, but 
that can be overkill unless you need the customizations. I'd highly 
recommend the puppetlabs-ubuntu-trusty-nocm version (unless you want to 
learn puppet, then you can grab the version with puppet in the name).
