I've been running Vagrant on an Acer C720 running Lubuntu 14.04 for 6 
months.  
Use John Lewis custom firmware, then
follow either circuidipity's scripts or download the HugeGreenBug distro 
from distroshare.com

Can't get Virtualbox to install correctly on a C740 though.  Only C720.
